Fun times and ABC swap goodies :D

Well last weekend was fun... My family plus the significant others went to a park to have a picnic/hike and then Joshuah and I went to the bike trail/parking lot and went rollerblading... it was sooo much fun :) It was nice out! And then we went back to my house to throw the football before it got too dark outside :)

And of course Friday night my younger sister had Senior Band Night... she's growing up way too fast!

I received my October "G" swap from chaenorrhinum a couple days ago! :D I'm just now getting around to getting pictures posted :)

It included:

~ a beautiful handmade GARDEN bag
~ 2 GOLD dishclothes (1 GOLDFISH and 1 superman :D )
~ 2 packs of GLEE GUM
~ 2 GOURDS (1 GREEN GOURD and 1 carved "GOURD" bandana)
~ 2 skeins of Beth's GO-TO wool
~ 2 GOURMET treats (1 GINGER jam and 1 GARLIC oil)
~ and some GOOEY chocolate tootsie rolls :)

She put everything in pairs because we are both twins :) How awesomely creative is that? I loved it! :)

Im sending her my package tomorrow! (I will post pictures after she receives it!)

Whew.... Life, slow dooooooowwwnnnnn!!!!!

Life is taking me on a ride, that's for sure! lol... It really just needs to slow down a tad!

Last week I received my orders from webs and knit picks... I got the line-by-line mitten and glove kit in the BOLD colors :D that'll be a project for after Christmas because I have no idea how i'm gonna finish knitting/crocheting all my Christmas gifts!!!

I can't show you a picture of my WEBS order because its for an October swap and there shall be no peeking before its sent out lol ;)

Saturday, Joshuah came over for a pizza and football date lol..... everyone was gone so it was just me and him and of course little ceaser's pizza and college football :) He ended up falling asleep in the recliner after lunch so i decided to try my hand at making some No-bake cookies... I was so nervous they weren't going to turn out because it was my first time...

EVERYONE loved them!! They were delicious! Not too gooey and not too crumbly, and they were EASY :D

I had two midterms on Monday and I am so glad they are over with... they were so stressful!! :( But Josh brought me some concentration food to me at school to help me study before i took my exams :) He's so thoughtful :D Tuesday I made an appointment with an academic advisor (finally after 5 years) lol.... I changed my major officially to Organizational Communications with a concentration in Deaf Studies! :D The advisor looked at me and said "you know you only have 11 classes left right?"

I said "no, I didn't, but what does that mean?"

she said "That means if we can schedule everything just right and everything works perfect and according to plan, you can graduate by the end of this summer!"

I almost fainted! haha, It's so exciting knowing that there is actually an end in sight!!!

I CAN GRADUATE AT THE END OF THIS SUMMER!!!!! HAHA :D

woo... ok, now that I'm sitting here typing with a goofy grin on my face lol...

Joshuah took me to the county fair yesterday after we both got off of work. It was so cold but it was a fun time! :) We ate more than I think our tummies should've been able to handle lol:

~Jumbo footlong corn dogs

~Chocolate covered cheesecake on a stick

lol... and we rode the ferris wheel (which is my favorite part) and walked around the arts and crafts barn (his idea, i told you he was thoughtful) lol ;) saw some really beautiful afghans and doiles and a really cute knitted dragon lol... now i have to try to duplicate one for my silly boyfriend who acts like a little kid sometimes lol... but i love him anyways :)

Well, I'm gonna go knit a little before class at 4. I got called off of work today, go figure, so thats why i have so much free time lol ;) I hope everyone is staying warm and dry (its anything but that here) Have a wonderful day! :)

Post before bed...

This past weekend was a fun one :) My twin and her boyfriend and me and mine played a euchre tournament Friday Night Saturday around 1 (after we got off work), and Sunday afternoon lol... it ended up being tied... it was fun...

I had a midterm today in my COMS 110 class that i studied for and wrote 5 essays over the weekend... how boring! BUT, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be!!

We got out of class a little early so I got to come home and eat dinner with my family and knit a little... I worked on my mom's Christmas gift :)

I went to Joann's Yesterday and bought the fabric that i want to line it with... but i could't decided on white or black so i bought 5/8 of a yard in each lol... what do you all think?

I also bought some crochet thread (10) and a 1.5 mm crochet hook... i want to crochet my mom a doily :D

OH YEAH!!! My yarn harlot book came in the mail yesterday!! "Knitting Rules!" I got to read some and skim through it a little bit and i love it so far!! :) It's going to be a big help to me and my knitting adventures and I can't wait to read the rest of it! :D

Well I've got to be at school by 7:55am tomorrow and am there til 6pm so its going to be a long day!!! I'm heading to bed! Goodnight everyone!!

Its a Rainy Friday

Cold and Rainy which means I got called off of work today. Which is nice because i have TONS of school stuff i need to get done.. also because this weather makes me want to grab a mug of hot tea and my knitting lol ;) BUT the money i would've made would've been helpful too lol...

Well, my little sister is now a senior in HS and is in marching band so Joshuah and I have been going to all the home football games on friday night and to her marching band competition on saturday... its been fun hanging out afterwards too... all of her friends have been coming over to our house to hang out after the games. And all of us adult children and significant others (yes, we all have one of those now lol) have been watching movies with my parents.

Last Saturday my brother had a "movie night" of movies that i had either seen or didn't want to see lol... so i stayed upstairs and watched football all evening with Joshuah, my dad, and a couple other people at times. My twin decided to join us in the "football room" and i was knitting the whole evening. Her boyfriend couldn't make it and she was bored so i taught her how to knit... she hasn't picked up since, but a seed was planted ;) lol

I joined a swap on ravelry... again lol... even though i told myself "no more" til school let out for fall/winter break lol... i was going through withdrawal ;) Its theme is the letter "G" and i have to handmake something that starts with taht letter... im drawing blanks so if anyone has any suggestions let me know ;)

My moms christmas gift is coming along nicely... I started using the jogless stripe technique ... picking up a stitch from the previous round and knit the 2 together... it really is nice! no more holes :)

I also picked up some DPNs and tried to learn how to use them yesterday lol... interesting to say the least, but i have to learn because i have to knit my sister a pair of socks for Christmas... and its coming up WAY too fast!! lol

Well, I'm off to work on school stuff... even though its the weekend lol... i have midterms and projects and debates and quizzes coming up so its a busy time...

OH MY GOODNESS!!

It's been a whole month since I've even been ON blogger!! EEK!!! Well, I got my new laptop and was planning on posting pics of the summer etc... but my old laptop's battery died so i'm trying to get all my pictures and music off of it and onto my new one somehow lol... So when i figure it out i shall post pics! :D
In knitting news, I have been working on my mom's Christmas gift: A piano tote... its' going well except for my first color change (i'm working on circulars) left a slight hole in my work... although, i may have found a technique that i can use to fix this little dilema so we shall see how well it works :)
School has started... Its hectic and a little stressful... Since I finally decided that I'm gonna get my bachelors degree in communications and an associates degree in sign language interpreting, I'm taking COMS 110: Communications between cultures, COMS 215: Argument analysis and advocacy (my least favorite class, i hate debating), CTCH 125: Introduction to computers (boring since i already know everything so im taking it online [on my own time] since it does fill a requirement), and DSI 161: Orientation to Deafness (a little redundant, but its a class i haven't taken yet)
I feel a lot better and even excited about my future now that i have a plan! lol ;)
Anyways, I am at work, so i better wrap this up lol... I just wanted to say hey to all my followers and let everyone know I'm still lovin life :D I hope you all had a great end of the summer!!
